Susan Dell Turner, age 71, of Baxley passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at McGraw Center under the care of Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida.
Susan was born on October 18, 1953 in Albany, Georgia to the late William Bill Dell and late Willene Lewis Dell. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Susan was a homemaker, a farmer and was a former secretary at the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn Sharpe, Diane Ansley and Karen Sharpe.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Jeffery Turner of Baxley; sons, Scotty (Renee) Turner and Allen (Amber) Turner all of Baxley; sister, Connie (Tony) Arnold of Baxley. Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Sue Black.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. Adam Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jamie Sharpe, Da’Neil Sharpe, Jason Ansley, Daniel Ansley, Andy Arnold and Dusty Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers will be all family and friends in attendance.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
