Susan A. Wadley

Susan Annette Wadley, 73-year-old rural Afton resident, passed away early Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Saint Francis Vinita Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1952, in Fairland to Bill and Anita (Viles) Jarvis. Sue graduated from Afton High School in 1970 with honors. She worked for the Coves at Bird Island as an office administrator. Sue loved taking care of her family, working outside everyday, also she enjoyed going to the beach and flying. Church and family were very dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill D. Jarvis on December 20, 2023 and her sister, Jaqueline "Jackie" Brooks in 2010.
The family includes her mother, Anita Jarvis of Vinita; her children, Jeffrey Wadley and wife Amanda of Afton, Rob Wadley and wife Sarah of Plainville, Connecticut, Luke Wadley of Afton, Scott Wadley of Afton, Angela "Angie" Mackey and husband Robert of Mannford; brothers, Mike Jarvis, Billy Jarvis and wife Jan of Cleora; sisters, Barbara Chenoweth and husband Tony of Welch, Lynn Shearhart and husband Robert of Grove, Shirley Jarvis of Vinita; twenty grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita.
The celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cleora Community Church, Pastor Ben Lindsly will officiate.
