Middleport: Susan Marie Webber, age 73, passed away after a brief illness on September 11, 2024 at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born in Lockport to the late Robert and S. Isabelle (Noble) King. She married her late husband Douglas on August 19, 1977 and lived the remainder of her life in Middleport.
Susan worked for many years at Fisher Price and most recently at Medina Memorial Hospital. She was a very proud grandmother and helped watch the neighborhood children from time to time. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and donated countless hats and mittens to people around the area. Susan was also a longtime member of the Middleport United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Douglas in 2017, sister Diane Grove and beloved cousin, Carol Dale.
Susan is survived by her son, Barry (Julie) Webber, grandson Jackson, siblings, Mary Ann Bauer, William (Marie Jane) Bauer, twin sister Sharon (late John) Kusmierczak, Steven (Sue) King, brother-in-law, Ted Grove as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Susan’s family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home 38 State St. Middleport, NY 14105 on Monday, September 16th from 4:00-7:00 pm. Her funeral service will be held at the Middleport United Methodist Church 9 Park Ave. Middleport, on Tuesday at 10:00am. Interment will be held at Hartland Central Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Susan’s name may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284 or the Middleport United Methodist Church.
