Susan was preceded in death by her father, James Dee Lanham Sr.; mother, Evelyn Marie Lanham; and brother, Thomas William Lanham.
Surviving is her husband, Mark Whelan; son, Christopher Michael (Morgan); daughter, Brittany Nicole (Stephen); grandchildren Jackson, Aiden, Hannah, Alora and Andrew; and brother, James Dee Jr.
She was one of a kind and will be tremendously missed by her family and friends, but there are no more medical conditions preventing her from attending her grandchildren's events. She has the best view from above and will watch over us as we navigate this life without her physically here.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25th, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, 11:00 am, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Heart Association.
