Susan Veasey White

Susan (Veasey) White of New Hope (Solebury Township), PA, died on Monday, December 8, 2025. She was 75 years old.

Susan was born in Englewood, New Jersey to Dorothy and John Veasey. Susan was raised with her sister Deborah in Demarest, NJ. She earned her bachelor's degree in art history from Washington Square College at NYU. Susan was a world traveler, and as a travel agent and advisor she shared her love of far-off places with her clients. Over the years she worked at Thomas Travel in Doylestown, Liberty Travel in Lambertville and Doylestown, and most recently AAA in Warrington, PA until 2019.

Susan lived in New York City during and after college, where she enjoyed the folk music scene in Greenwich Village and the Eagle Tavern. She later moved to New Hope, Bucks County where she embraced another lively arts and music scene, both studio and performing. She pursued her love of folk music, running her Folk Soup concert series for many years at the Towpath House and John and Peter's in New Hope. She later joined the Princeton Folk Music Society, and she was also an active member of Concerts at the Crossing and the New Hope Arts Commission, organizing plays, musical performances, art shows, and fundraisers. Her energy and dedication were boundless. Susan was often the first person to greet you at the door and the last person to shut off the lights, always with her young daughter, Lindsey, close by. Susan also had a passion for exotic travel, including trips to Africa, the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica, and many visits to Europe. One of her favorite places was Alaska, where she traveled several times, including two trips to help clean animals from the Exxon Valdez oil spill. She was a dedicated animal lover, particularly of cats, and a member of the Bucks County Audubon Society. Susan was an avid reader, a huge supporter of local arts and business events, and a regular at Rago's Auctions in Lambertville. Susan was a devoted mother to Lindsey (White) Kroos and a cherished mother-in-law to Lindsey's husband, John Kroos.

There will be calling hours on Sunday, December 14th from 12 noon until 2 pm. at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530.
