Susan Williams Obituary

Visit the Brown's Cremation & Funeral Service website to view the full obituary.

Susan Ann Williams, 78, of Grand Junction, passed away on February 14, 2026, from complications of a terminal illness. She fought until the very end, facing her illness with remarkable courage, grace, and determination.

Susan was born on December 17, 1947, in Sterling, Colorado, to Eva and Jack Williams, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the eldest of six children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Heidi and Joe. She is survived by her brothers, John, Mark, and Doc.

Her greatest pride and joy were her two children, Anne and Will. She was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother to Gabriella, Ashlyn, Rhianna, Everlee, and Jaxon. She warmly embraced Anne’s husband, Robby, and Will’s life partner, Chelsea, as cherished members of her family. Nothing meant more to Susan than keeping up with the daily adventures, milestones, and dreams of those she loved.

Susan dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Denver and went on to offer compassion and support to individuals and families in need. Her commitment to making the world a better place extended well beyond her career. She gave generously of her time and energy to her community and to her church, Koinonia Spiritual Community, living her values through service and love.

Susan was an avid reader who enjoyed keeping up with world events. She had many friends and loved going on long walks and spending time with the people she cared about.

The final chapter of her life will be remembered as a remarkable journey of spirituality, love, friendship, and personal growth. Even in the face of profound challenges, she continued to grow, reflect, and deepen her connections with those around her. She will be remembered for her resilience, wisdom, and humor, and for her gift for laughter and thoughtful conversation.

Those who knew and loved Susan are encouraged to honor her legacy by living one day at a time and finding a moment of awe each day. We believe this would be the greatest tribute to her extraordinary life.

In keeping with her wishes, she chose direct cremation, and no funeral service will be held. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a memorial reception at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Koinonia Spiritual Community, 730 25 Road, Grand Junction, Colorado.
