Susanne “Sue” (Luukko) Geddes, 69, of Boylston, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Saint Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Sue is survived by her husband of nearly forty-seven years, Henry Geddes; two daughters, Jenna G. Sweeney and her husband Phil of San Diego, and Chriseda R. Geddes of Boston; a sister, Alice Reilly and her husband Joe of Worcester; two brothers, Kevin Luukko of Worcester, and Dennis Luukko and his wife Mary-Lou of Webster; a precious grandson, Evan Sweeney; as well as several nieces and nephews. Susanne was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Edwin J. and Mary-Jane (Reardon) Luukko, and lived most of her life in the city, before moving to Boylston eight years ago.
Sue worked as a mortgage broker, having previously worked for many years in banking. She enjoyed going to the beach, tending to her plants and taking her chances on a lottery ticket (or two!). She also loved traveling, from visiting friends in North Carolina, to family in Scotland. Everyone in her life was dearly loved by her, and she was especially proud of her daughters and their achievements. Her grandson, Evan, was the light of her life.
