Susie Salasar Alverez

Susie Salasar Alverez, age 81, of Victoria, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2025. She was born on August 29, 1944, in Cuero, Texas, to the late Ynez Aguilar Ordonez and her late father.
Susie was a devoted Christian woman whose greatest joy was serving the Lord and loving her family. She lived a life marked by faith, prayer, and generosity. Her heart was always open to those in need, and she found strength in her walk with Christ. While she will be dearly missed here on earth, her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now rejoicing in heaven, reunited with loved ones who went before her, and resting in the sweet presence of Jesus.
She is survived by her loving husband, Faustino Alverez; daughters, Mary Garcia of Telferner, Texas, Gracie Gutierrez (Tony) of New Braunfels, Texas, and Virginia Alverez of Houston, Texas; and sons, Richard Ordonez of Huntsville, Texas, Gilbert Lopez of Victoria, Texas, and Steven Alverez (Sandra) of New Braunfels, Texas. She also leaves behind her sister, Teresa of Michigan, along with 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren who will forever carry her legacy of faith and love.
Susie is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Betty Ordonez; sons, Daniel Ordonez and Greg Alverez; son-in-law, Marcello Garcia Jr.; sisters, Andrea Martinez, Valeriana Martinez, Belen Peña, Christina Zapata, and Dominga Davila; and brothers, Martin Salazar, Jesse Salazar, and Jose Salazar.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m., with a prayer service to follow at 10:00 a.m.
Susie's life was a testimony of love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
