Billie "Susie" Rodgers Dix, 69, of Belzoni, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson.
Susie was born October 1, 1955, in Moorhead, to Willie Preston Rodgers and Maurice Standard Rodgers. She spent 30 years as a Navy wife and mother to two daughters. Susie enjoyed playing her X Box. She became a hard-core gamer and that is how she formed lasting bonds with her grandchildren. Susie loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her dogs.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Rodgers.
She is survived by two daughters, LeeLee Martin-Conklin (Dustin) of Oak Harbor, Washington and Kimberly Miles (Paul Jr.) of Belzoni; three brothers, Albert Rodgers of Grenada, Tommy Rodgers (Lisa) of Tupelo, and Dino Rodgers of Belzoni; two sisters, Shirley Champman (George) of Montana and Brenda Kelly of Bentonia; five grandchildren, Dylan Smith (Jordyn), Kody Miles (Mackenzie), Colton Miles, Jennifer Martin, and Jacob Martin; two great grandchildren, Josh Smith and Kendal Miles and is expecting the third, Kameron Miles in August.
A memorial reception will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Kimberly's home. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
