Susie Viola Miller, 94, of Plain City, passed away March 21, 2023, at her home after a stroke. She was born on September 21, 1928, to Lee Roy and Elizabeth (Troyer) Miller in Plain City, Ohio. Susie was baptized into the Amish Church in her youth and was a faithful member of the New Order Amish Church. She was single her entire life and supported herself by doing housecleaning, becoming close friends with those she served. She enjoyed flowers, piecing baby comforters for relief, and spending time with family and friends. Susie will also be remembered for sharing her delicious homemade candies at Christmas time.
Preceded in death by her parents, one sister & brother-in-law: Emma & Raymond Kauffman; five brothers & sisters-in-law: Clarence & Anna Miller, Eli & Wilma Miller, Wyman Miller, Ralph Miller, and Alvin & Fannie Miller; two brothers-in-law: Abe Troyer and Joe Gingerich, and seven nieces and nephews.
Survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law: Fanny Troyer, Mary Gingerich, Arie & Daniel Hochstetler, Katie & Alvin Yoder; one brother and sisters-in-law John & Mary Ellen Miller, and Cathy Miller, and 51 nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 23, at Haven Fellowship Church, 7730 Converse Huff Road, Plain City, where the funeral will be held on Friday at 10 am, March 24. Burial will be at the Haven of Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Loving Care Hospice, 779 London Ave., Marysville, Ohio 43040.
