William E. Butterfield

William (Bill) E. Butterfield, age 55, of Powell, Ohio passed away on October 20th, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Bill passed away after an 18-year battle with cancer. Bill's faith in God and dedication to work kept him going.
Bill was born on April 12th, 1970 in Marysville, Ohio to Lewis and Mary Butterfield (Reder). He grew up in Kileville and was a Spoiled Brat.
Bill was a 1989 graduate of Jonathan Alder High School, a graduate of Columbus State with an Associates degree in Business and a graduate of Franklin University with a Bachelors in Business.
Bill spent 37 years working and managing food services for 3 Country Clubs. The Country Club at Muirfield Village, Tartan Fields Golf Club, and Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club. Bill enjoyed Work, Marvel Movies, Jeeps, Cats and Golf.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Mary, his step-mother Mable, his brother Michael and sister in law Teri.
Bill is survived by his brother Lewis Butterfield Jr. (Judy), nieces and nephews Nicole, Jeannette, Monica, Lewis III, Ethan, Emily and eight great nieces and nephews.
Bill had two families, his regular family and his work family. His work ethic kept him working 10-14 hour days, 6 days a week. It allowed him to socialize and train employees, and serve his customers. All became his work family. During his final days, many of them came to visit and show their respect and love for him. They will miss him as much as his family will.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday October 29th, 2025 at 10 AM at Forest Grove Cemetery 8270 Cemetery Pike, Plain City, OH 43064 with Pastor Ed Beeson officiating.
