"Susie" Murach, 64, a proud resident of Thurston Hollow, passed away at The Gardens at East Mountain on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023.
She was born in Johnson City, on Nov. 30, 1959, the daughter of the late Don and Betty Jean Felton Manzer. Susie was raised by her grandmother, Audrene Felton, and she was married to Kenneth Buddha Murach for 13 years.
Susie will be remembered for her cooking and baking as she could make any cake or baked good you could imagine. She also managed many of the bakeries in Tunkhannock. She was a member of the Tunkhannock Moose Lodge, Moose Lodge Dart team and she loved doing crafts.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Christopher Melia, Thurston Hollow; brothers, Randy Manzer, Tunkhannock; Mike and wife, Dorleen Manzer, Tunkhannock; nephew, Mick Manzer, Tunkhannock; nephew, Sean Murach, Thurston Hollow; and a niece, Ava Jean Terrance, Scott Twp.; brother-in-law, Ed and wife, Chelsea Murach, Thurston Hollow; brother-in-law, Ron and wife, Judy Murach, Thurston Hollow; mother-in-law, Jan Murach, Thurston Hollow; aunt, Carol Rhines, Keelersburg; and beloved cats, Naughie and Miss Kitty.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
