Susie Starkey, age 86, of Wilmington, passed away at her home on Sunday morning August 3, 2025.
Born November 27, 1938, she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret Arey Alexander.
Susie is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Starkey in 2002.
A graduate of Greeneview North, Susie retired from Wilmington City Schools as the payroll clerk after 28 years. Before her time in the schools, she had worked at National Bank and Trust in Wilmington and with Dr. Thomas Faehnle of Sabina. She was a 50 plus year member of the Eastern Star.
Susie is survived by her children: Timothy (Stephanie) Starkey of Sabina, Terry (Malissa) Starkey of North Port, FL, Stephanie (Travis Porter) Starkey of Cincinnati; daughter in-law, Julie Starkey of Wilmington; sister Rae (Lyndell) Suggs of Wilmington; and her very special friend Jo Vance of Wilmington. Also left to cherish her memory are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with.
Susie was preceded in death by her son, Todd and her brother, Johnny Alexander.
Visitation will be on Thursday August 7, 2025, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from 11:00am until 1:00pm, when a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice 1669 Rombach Ave, Wilmington 45177.
