Suzanne "Sue" Tabor Deffet was born May 10, 1959, in Worcester, Massachusetts to Jon K. Tabor (2022) and Mary Singleton Tabor (2011). She was the second of four children and oldest daughter.
Sue grew up in Upper Arlington, graduating from Upper Arlington High School in 1977, and graduated from the Ohio State University in 1981 with a BS in Accounting. She later earned a CPA. Sue joined Allied Mineral Products in 1984, eventually becoming CFO. She was instrumental in helping move Allied to a majority employee-owned (ESOP) company in 1986 and supporting Allied's growth into a multi-national corporation. She retired from Allied in 2014.
Her greatest accomplishment is her four sons. She was a dedicated mother and fierce defender of her children and family. She loved her horses and dogs and was happiest on her farm or at the beach. She will be remembered for her best years in which she was a CFO of a global company and mother of four boys.
Sue was a past member of Old Stone Presbyterian Church, Delaware, OH.
Sue is survived by her four children Colin (Erin), Brendan, Evan and Patrick one grandson, Henry, siblings Jon R. Tabor (Carletta), Sandy Tabor-Gray (Jim) and Julie Tabor (James Hutchison) and former husband, Dan.
