Suzanne Katherine Ross

Suazanne K. Ross, 78 of Fredericksburg, passed unexpectedly on February 23, 2026. She was born in Lexington, KY to her parents Louis P. and Etta L. Blanchet. Suzanne was the oldest child with young siblings, Paula Cearley (dec), Rosemary Cunningham, and Michael Blanchet. She graduated from Coshocton High School, Ohio in 1966 and received a degree from the Ohio State University in 1971. She was a dedicated art educator – innovative, patient and interested.

She believed every animal was blessed. Over the years she had eleven dogs, three cats, eight llamas, and one mule. She raised pheasants to repopulate the county while working as a veterinarian technician in Ohio. Always busy, she never lacked energy.

In 2020 she came to Fredericksburg to assist her mother and after Etta's death remained in Texas. Her two Boston Terriers, Bo Jangles and Lydia, will miss her, but are going with their "aunt" to live in Florida.

Suzanne will be interred at Beaufort National Cemetery, S.C., joining her husband of 47 years, Edward B. Ross.
