Suzanne H. "Sue" Schlaeger

1940 - 2022

Suzanne "Sue" H. Schlaeger, age 82, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died peacefully while surrounded by her kids on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Sue was born February 14, 1940 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Ellis and Elvera Bloom. Sue was a proud graduate of Forest Lake High School, Class of 1958. The friendships she created in school are still going strong today. Sue and Fran raised their family on the north shore of Second Lake in Forest Lake. She made the house feel like a home and welcomed everyone who visited. In addition to her beloved community in Minnesota, she loved shelling and walking along the beaches of Florida.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Fran"; parents; sisters, Carol (Ted) Preisler, Sharon Peterson; son-in-law, Peter Flom.

She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her including her children, Brent (Libbie) Schlaeger, Dede (Chuck) Knutson, Heidi Flom; grandchildren, Brianna (James) Godwin, Colin Schlaeger, Kayla Schwartz, Josiah (Trish) Knutson, Micah Knutson, Isaac Knutson, Eli Knutson, Brandon (Hannah Nase) Flom, Madeline (Jeff) Hammer, Eleigh (Talin Duchene) Flom; great grandchildren, Oliver, Edwin, Daxton, Kayden, Lily, Lydia; brother-in-law, Ron Peterson; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, classmates and friends.

Funeral Services held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Crossroads Church, 17445 Notre Dame Street, Forest Lake, Minnesota. Visitation held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery in Forest Lake at a later date.
