Suzanne Walsh

Suzanne (Smith) Walsh, born April 14, 1946 in Malden, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully. She was raised in Melrose on Slayton Road in the Mt. Hood area, where she spent many childhood days skating on the ponds with her sisters.
Suzanne attended Winthrop Elementary School and graduated from Melrose High School with the Class of 1964. In April 1969, she married Kevin M. Walsh, her husband of 34 years, and together they had two sons, Kevin and Christopher.
For many years, Suzanne worked at the Melrose Drug Center in downtown Melrose, where she became well known and warmly regarded as "Mrs. Melrose." She loved traveling to Florida, especially with her husband Kevin and later with her sister Patricia.
She was the daughter of Russel and Katherine Smith (Randall) of Melrose and the sister of Beverly Griggers of Malden, Kathy Louge of Lynn, Judith Sergi of Malden, Patricia Pike of Melrose, and Robert Smith of Bremerton, WA, all of whom predeceased her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. Following the visitation a Funeral Service will be held at the Gately Funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Wyoming Cemetery, Sylvan Street, Melrose.
