William James Walsh

William J Walsh, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 16, 2026.

Born March 18th, 1947, in Jersey City, Bill was the beloved son and fourth child of William and Katherine Walsh.

A proud Army veteran, Bill served as a Combat Medic in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. He deeply cared for his pets throughout his life, spending countless mornings at the dog park and creating unshakeable bonds with his cats. Bill was a lifelong NY Giants fan, always cheering his team on and proudly sporting his Giants gear.

Above all, Bill will be remembered for his generosity, quiet strength, and devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Walsh; his three daughters, Jennifer Colatrella, Laurie Walsh and her fiancé, Matthew Bonner, and Joanna Clifton and husband, Lucas; his 7 grandchildren, Olivia, Billy, Daryl, Roman, Grace, Arlo, and Dashiell; and his sister, Eileen Barnes and husband, Robert.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Monday, February 23, 2026 from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. Burial will take place Monday, February 23, 2026 at 12:30pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
