Suzanne M. Zanzig, age 84, of Green Bay passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at her residence.

Sue was born July 28, 1941, in Peoria, IL, daughter of the late Harold and Verna (Barbier) Graber. She was a graduate of Academy of Our Lady High School with the Class of 1959. On April 10, 1982, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Zanzig in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2015.

Sue was a long-standing member of Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Green Bay. She was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady and Midstate College of Commerce (both in Peoria). Sue was employed by the City of Peoria for 10 years and was a member of Professional Secretaries International, Peoria Chapter. She was very involved in the Bay Area Genealogical Society in Green Bay and in the Green Bay Women's Auxiliary to the Twin Cities Shriners Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

Sue enjoyed serving others, reading, pizza, jigsaw puzzles, genealogy, the occasional TV crime drama, and connecting with people.

Sue is survived by two sons: USAF Major (Retired) J.R. (Sabine) Hanamean, Garner, NC; Michael P. (Sherry) Hanamean, Marietta, GA; three step-children: Paul (Barbara Zanzig-deceased) Hoefling, Bothell, WA; David S. (Carol) Zanzig, Freeland WA; Jeannette (Darrell) Hook, Fallon, NV; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia M. Graber, Peoria, IL; Carol A. Donahue, Peoria, IL; one brother-in-law: Jerry (Jean) Zanzig, Signal Mountain, TN; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold & Verna Graber, her husband Charles Zanzig, brothers-in-law Mick (Carol) Donahue, James (Joyce) Zanzig, and her stepdaughter Barbara J. Zanzig.

At her request, she will be cremated. Her visitation and life celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. immediately followed by a Memorial Service at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave, Green Bay, WI 54304. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Bridgette Flad Daniels. Inurnment will take place at The Memorial Gardens at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Green Bay, following the service.

Donors are also welcome to contribute to a charity of their choosing.
