Ms. Sybil Jean Williams, aka Nana, age 74, a resident of Polk City, Florida went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at The Club @ Lake Gibson Nursing Home surrounded by family. Ms. Williams was born July 8, 1951, in Savannah, Georgia to Corbitt and Alma Jeanette (Pittman) Rewis. She was a Polk County resident since the 1980's coming from Fort Bragg, North Carolina & Okinawa, Japan. She graduated from Robert W. Grace High School in Garden City, Georgia. Sybil was a homemaker, a clerk for Auburndale Circle K for 17 years and clerk at Grandmas Pantry in Polk City for 5 years. She was a past president of the Army Enlisted Wives. She attended Christian Heritage Church in Winter Haven and Faith Baptist Church in Polk City. Sybil enjoyed crafts, ceramics, sewing, going to all her grandchildren's baseball & softball games, socializing and most of all she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband – Joe Williams; 2nd husband – Doug Edwards; 2 brothers – Ronnie Rewis & Timmy Rewis and brother-in-law – Charles McKenzie. Sybil is survived by her loving & devoted family, daughter – Crystal (Scott) Lindell of Auburndale; son – Brandon (Cristina) Williams of Haines City; sister – Deborah McKenzie of Polk City; 1 nephew – Brian (Serina); 5 nieces – Alisha (Jason), Amy, Jenny (Kris), Christina (Buddy) & Brandy (Brad); 4 grandchildren – Meghan (Brad), Cameron, Delanie, Taylor & Alice and the light of her life great grandson – McCoy. Funeral services will be held 6pm Friday, September 19th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5pm at the funeral home.
