Syble McDaniel Franklin, age 93, of Colbert, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She is survived by her children, Charles Randal (Tine) Franklin; Kay Parr; Mark Andrew (Melissa) Franklin; grandchildren, Chris (Crystal) Franklin, Rick (Kathryn) Parr, Jennifer Parr, Jason (Heather) Franklin; step grandchildren, Heather (Marcus), Megan (Joshua), Jessie (Kim); great grandbabies, Nicholas, Rahne, Angel, Callie, Aliyah, Elijah, Isaiah and Elizabeth Parr; step-great grandchildren, Mikah, Makinley, Tristan, Tinsley, Graham, Greson, Aria, Norah, Maisie. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.A. Franklin; mother, Bert Smith McDaniel; father, Emory Ottis McDaniel; grandson, Alan Franklin.
Syble loved going on road trips to the mountains, especially visiting Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Cherokee. She enjoyed cheering on her beloved Atlanta Braves. Syble was all about family gatherings, especially during Christmas. The one thing she loved most in this world was spoiling her grandbabies, whether big or small. She liked to watch soap operas and Wheel of Fortune, as well as playing card games and doing puzzles.
A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Syble will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 2:00PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24th from 1:00PM-7:00PM and Monday, November 25th from 10:00AM-6:00PM.
