Joy is happiness that does not depend on what happens. If you are lucky enough to be blessed with a child, your heart is full of JOY. On 8/8/2006, Sydney Ritter filled the hearts of our family. Her sharp- witted sense of humor, abundance of self-confidence and acceptance of all people was inspiring. This beautiful, sassy, intelligent, strong young woman loved being glamorous. From doing her make up, finding just the right outfit, to blinging out her car, she just shined. She loved swimming in the ocean, playing with Piper, shopping, doing tik toks and laying in her bed. Being the Big Sister to Bryce, Dylan and Rylee was a job she took seriously. At times she was a force to be reckoned with, especially when it came to sleeping in Nan's bed or drinking her extra sweet tea. She adored Alex and Maddie, always looking forward to a cousin day or a girl's trip. Her deep connection with Gram kept her grounded. Sydney knew herself, when she needed help, she never hesitated to reach out to who could help her best. When she was sick or needed to vent, she would call Aunt Frankie or Katie. When she needed advice, she would call Aunt Laura or Aunt Joanne. When she needed to feel safe, she would ask Mommy to cuddle with her. Bella, Jade and Ranyah would give her the extra confidence she needed. Aydan was not only her first best friend but was her consistent "wing man", always there to make sure that Syd didn't get a nut by mistake or be in an uncomfortable situation alone. Her hidden secret was her genuine desire to help people. She did not show much of her caring side, but her love was endless. She was always willing to listen and give advice, which usually turned out to be very good. On September 3, 2024 this amazing, captivating soul left this physical world. Her presence will be deeply missed but her positive impact on our lives will never be forgotten.
Please join us on Saturday, September 14, 2024, for Sydney's Life Celebration from 12pm until 3pm, followed by a memorial service at 3pm at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 200 W Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA, 19401. Interment will be private.
