Sylvester Amendolaro, 73, Roaring Brook Township (formerly Coconut Creek Fl) died Wednesday morning surrounded by his family in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Inpatient Unit Dunmore after a courageous 3-year battle with cancer.

Born in Scranton, He was the son of the late Patsy and Jennie Sottile Amendolaro. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School class of 1969. Before his retirement, he was a service advisor for Holman Honda in Ft Lauderdale Fl where he received many awards for outstanding service during his 33 years.

Sy enjoyed watching and attending drag racing with his friends. He looked forward to the many motorcycle trips with his family and friends. He enjoyed music and attending concerts with his best buddy (his son Victor). He always looked forward to working alongside his family at the Italian Festival in honor of St. Rocco in Dunmore which was held last weekend.

Surviving are his children Joanne and Nikki FL, Victor, Roaring Brook and Isabella,MA. His grandchildren Devin, Alexa, Giabella and Bentley all of Florida. His beloved sister Mary Jo Amendolaro, Roaring Brook, his Aunt Annette "Tootsie" Amendolaro Elmhurst along with numerous cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street Dunmore. Interment will take place in Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning 9-10:30 AM in the Carlucci – Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc. 318 East Drinker Street in Dunmore
