Slyvester "Vet" Alphons Turner, 95, of Lake Village, AR, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Lake Village Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on April 6, 1930, in Elgin, Nebraska, to his parents, John R. Turner and Elizabeth Hannah VonnBonn. Slyvester has worked many jobs. He worked in the Oil Field, Banking, Real Estate, and Commercial Truck Driving. Slyvester loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Mary E. Turner; his six brothers, Joe Turner, Leonard Turner, LaVern Turner, Johnnie Turner, Edward Turner, and Julius Turner; his four sisters, Helen Espenhover, Marie Espenhover, Delores Wiehn, and Betty Jo Turner.

Slyvester is survived by his two sons, John P. Turner of Mountain Home, AR, and Mark A. Turner of Kilbourne, Louisiana, his two daughters, Jamie D. Harper of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Vanessa K. Sipes (Stanley) of Panama City Beach, Florida; his sister, Darlene Turner Roberts (Ed) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; and a host of friends and other family.

Services will be made at a later date.

Uncle "Vet" was a wonderful man. So nice, so polite and reminded me so much of my dad, Julius ("Jess") Turner. He will be missed so much.
