Sylvia Ann Bailey, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born October 4, 1947, Sylvia was raised in Cumming and a graduate of Forsyth County High School. She spent most of her life in Dawson County where she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and served as the church pianist for over 55 years. Early in her career she worked as the clerk for the City of Dawsonville until going to work at Vernon Tractor which eventually became Mason Tractor in Cumming where she served as their bookkeeper for over 30 years. Her biggest loves in life were her church and her family. Sylvia will be dearly missed and was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Allen Bailey and sister, Shelby Jean Jones.

Surviving are her children, Michael A. and Melissa Bailey, Phillip and Katrina Bailey, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Lexie, Lakyn, Logan; brother and sister-in-law, J.L. and Donna Garmon of Jackson; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. Rev. Dennis Bottoms, Rev. Cory Gilliland and Rev. Jason Hamby will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m.
