William F. "Bill" Webb, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at his residence.

Born September 2, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Glenzie and Jennie Webb, he has lived in Dawson County since 2017 having moved from Duluth. Bill earned a BS Degree in Mathematics from Niagara University, class of 1964. He was a retired Lt. Col. U. S. Army having served in Vietnam. Prior to his retirement he was employed by HHS/CDC/MISO in Atlanta. His job title prior to retirement was IT Systems and Planning Analyst and was a contractor with Northrop Grumman. He was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus (4th Degree Sir Knight), Blessed Mother Mary Council, MOAA, the VFW and DAV. Bill loved golfing and playing cards with his friends.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Gwen A. Webb, Dawsonville; daughters and son in law, Michelle R. and Trey Smith, Dahlonega, Marian R. King, Buford; grandchildren, Blake W. Smith, Ashton A. King, Brandon J. King, Kyle W. Smith; sisters and brother in law, Loretta "Lori" LeVan, Miami, FL, Glenda and Michael Young, Anna Maria, CA; brother and sister in law, Wayne and Mary Webb, Palm Bay, FL; and a number of other relatives.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11 o'clock at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org; or to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
