Sylvia Mabel Bergquist passed away on December 29, 2025 at age 96. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Liana; husband of 23 years, Reuben; parents, Bjarne and Ella Anderson; brothers, Leo, Harry and Stanley Anderson; sisters, Luella Hanson, Marilyn Haima, Bonnie Spiczka. Sylvia will be deeply missed by her children, Marvel (Nestor) Ciro, Shirley (Bob) Miller, Mick (Renee) Bergquist; grandchildren, Jason, LeAnn (Cory), Tony (Lisa), Dan (Trish); great-grandchildren, Grace, Cameron, Audrey, Makenzie, Phoebe, Vinny, Emma; brother, Lyle (Darlene) Anderson.
Sylvia lived a full life. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and sitting around the fire. She liked taking trips to the casino, crocheting, and playing games.
Visitation will begin at 10am until time of service at 11am on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Christ Church Lutheran, 3244 34th Ave S, Minneapolis. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sylvia's name to Christ Church Lutheran.
