Sylvia (Box) Cambio

86, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond A. Cambio, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Theresa (Montaquila) Box.

Sylvia was a member of the St. Mary’s Feast Society Ladies Auxiliary (Past Vice President), VFW Post #2396, and the Regina Coeli Society. She was also a member of the YMCA and a volunteer at the Cranston Senior Center gift shop. Sylvia also worked as a teachers aid for the Cranston School Department.

She is survived by her loving children, Raymond A. Cambio, Jr. and Sandra Cambio-Gregoire, both of Cranston; cherished grandchildren, Cory Cambio and Michael R. Gregoire, Jr. Sylvia was the dear sister of the late Carmela Devona, Irene Ruscito, Louise Baretto, Anna DiCarlo, Helen Pono, Bernise Corsi and Salvatore Box. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friends.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
