Sylvia Bourgeois Cook, 76, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Sylvia was born August 20, 1949, in New Orleans.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, David cook; son, Sidney Russell and wife Jessica, daughter, Ginger Russell; grandchildren, Colton Russell Sidney Russell, Jasmine Dupont, and Seth Dupont; great-grandchildren, Haven Childress, Kamdyn Mendoza, Jordynn Dupont; one sister, Barbara Cumbie.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Cecile Bourgeois Santiny and Sidney Anthony Santiny; grandchildren, Sydney Lynn Russell and Sean Dupont; siblings, Rickie LaBauve, Wilson Bourgeois, Barry Bourgois, Woodrow LaBauve Jr., Nelson Delong, Clara Grisham; Niece, Rachelle Delong.
