Sylvia Fitzgerald Harper passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025 at the age of 87. She was born in Huntsville, Texas on August 25, 1938 to Henry and Cordelia Fitzgerald. She was the baby of her family and is preceded in death by four sisters (Ida, Grace, Helen, and Ollie) and one brother (L.V.). She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, James Harper, along with their two daughters Karen Harper Armengol and Judy Ballesteros. Also remembering their grandmother are grandchildren Joseph Ballesteros, Sara Ballesteros, and Jameson Bouton, and five great-grandchildren Gianna Ballesteros, Cody Ballesteros, and Hazel Ballesteros. Sylvia was a traditional wife and mother who devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of Willis Assembly of God Church in Willis, Texas for many years. She enjoyed being with family, reading Amish romance novels, watching reruns of Andy Griffith, and being in her home. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to your local food bank.
