Ms. Sylvia Kaylene Martin Hill, of Stuart, passed away early Sunday morning, January 18, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Ms. Hill was born in Stokes County, in the Albion Community on January 3, 1950, to the late Curties Martin and Bertha Inman Martin. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sibling, and aunt who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Ms. Hill worked many years at Walmart in Mount Airy and Stuart, Virginia, as a cashier, which she was proud of. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Jennifer Kaye Watson; son and daughter-in-law, Doyle Watson and Stacey; grandchildren, Levi Watson, Lukah Watson, London Watson; special friends, Andy, Melissa Penn, Corretta Anthony, Jeffrey “Vann” Watson and Crystal; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie Joyce and Grey; brother and sisters-in-law, Billy Ray Martin and Emily, Betty Sue Martin, Patricia Martin; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hill was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Jean Watson; sisters, Virginia Haley, Inez Jessup, Vernell Holt; brothers, Carl Martin, Ralph Martin, Mondell Martin, Lamer Dean Martin. A funeral service to honor Ms. Hill’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Westfield Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Rickey Rogers, Rev. D.C. Collins and Rev. Blake Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Albion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Westfield Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 12:30 PM until time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice PO Box 325, Dobson, North Carolina 27017. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Hill family.
