Dear Joanne and Tara, I am so sorry I did not know of your Mom's death until this week. S. Marie McPherson gave me the sad news. I saw your Mom in the spring at the Anniversary of the St. Ignatius CWL; it was wonderful to be with her for awhile. I recall so many times she reached out to me and your neighbours and others during my days living in Bedford. Sympathy and prayers for you and all your family. love, Joan

Sylvia was a member of the EnChor East Singers Society. I got to meet her at Parkstone when the choir sang there before Christmas a couple of years ago. More than a few of us remember Sylvia sitting in the front and singing along with all our songs. She is remembered by those who were in the choir during her time as a. Dry sweet person. Sylvia, thank you for the music!!!

I sang with Sylvia in a couple of choirs. She was always so much fun and was always happy to see you even if it had been a while. She will be missed but is now singing with the angels.

Sylvia, Florence and myself travelling to PEI was one of the highlight I shared with my sister in the league. First we missed the turn off for the bridge, yes we were talking. Finally arriving at the Convention, and socializing with the girls. We settled in for two days of meetings and fun. Saying our good boys, headed to the boat.Arriving the parking lot was empty, saw the boat out in the bay. Florence got out ,checking the time for the next boat.Tomorrow AM. Our second. mistake!!!! We laughed ,and laughed so hard Sylvia peed her pants. I am laughing as I write. It was the high light of our travel. My dear, dear friend I miss our phone calls. Now you and Florence are singing in the Heavenly Choir

My sincerest condolences to Tara, Joanne, all family members and friends of Sylvia. I met Sylvia at Church, where she sang in the choir and was a great member of the CWL, of which, I also became a member. Sylvia was recognized as a loyal volunteer, not only at Church but also in the wider community. I remember one year she was officially recognized for her great volunteer skills and contributions by the town of Bedford. Anyone who knew Sylvia knew she had, within her, the wonderful spiritual attributes of charity, compassion, empathy, kindness, love, respect and gratitude. I loved her smile and infectious laughter. She was a gift in the lives of many and I am so happy to say that she was came into my life and I will remember her with great love and admiration.

I had many sleepovers at the Millett household. I always loved going there. It was fun with my cousins. And Sylvia was the best Baker. In Later years whenever I saw Aunt Sylvia, she would say come over to my car I have something for you. And in her car she always pulled out a treasure for me. So thoughtful. Loved her....xo
