Mrs. Sylvia Mitchell, 75, entered into her eternal rest on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Laredo, Texas. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on January 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Frank and Marcelina Camacho. At an early age, her family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she spent a great part of her life, until her beloved Keith moved to Laredo in the early 1990's, the final place she would share countless memories. Sylvia was a lifelong Chicagoan at heart and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents: Frank Camacho and Marcelina Camacho.
Surviving her are her husband: Keith Mitchell; children: Marie Marquez (Jesse+), Eileen (Gabriel) Gutierrez, Jamie (Cristian) Trejo; grandchildren: Angel Gutierrez, Emilie Gutierrez, Ivy Gutierrez, Benjamin Nix, Audrey Trejo, Valerie Trejo; sister: Yolanda Sanchez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Liturgy of the Word and Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
Services will conclude at the end of the service for a cremation at a later date.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Keith and family. Sylvia was a beautiful person. Always loving and kind. I will miss her dearly. Her and Keith, very good friends. I worked with Keith and Sylvia at Rheem water heaters in Chicago Illinois. So many memories, I will always cherish. Again, I am so sorry Keith.
