Barbara Ann Wideman

Barbara Ann Wideman, 86, Macy, Indiana, passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at her residence.

Born February 22, 1939, in Macy, Indiana, she was the daughter of Wallace H. Vice and Donna Fay (Southerton) Vice. On November 10, 1957, at the Akron Church of God, she was married to Willis Fredrick Wideman, and he survives.

She was the last person to graduate from Macy High School in the last class of 1957. Barbara was a member of the Royal Center (formerly Macy) Eastern Star Lodge, the Macy Fire Department Auxiliary, and a lifetime member of the Macy Christian Church. She was a homemaker who loved to iron. She loved crocheting and could spend hours going through her junk mail. She was very social and once you met her, you had a friend for life. Over the years she enjoyed pulling their camper around the country and for many years, they enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona.

Survivors include her husband, Willis Wideman, Macy; four children, Kevin (Lulu) Wideman, Macy; Dennis (Renee) Wideman, Logansport; Michele (Randy) Mullins, Spokane Valley, WA; Michael (Norma) Wideman, Mexico; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie (Darlene) Vice, Fulton; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jesse Hesh; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Wideman.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Brad Hisey officiating. Burial will be in Five Corners Cemetery, Macy.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
