Sylvia Louise Patzlaff

Sylvia Louise (Nass) Patzlaff, age 83, of Crandon, WI passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at Eastview Rehabilitation Center in Antigo, WI. She was born in Green Bay, WI on April 1, 1943, to the late Gerhart and Dorothy (Peters) Nass.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, David Patzlaff; sons, Tom (Diane) Patzlaff and Rick (Wendy) Patzlaff; grandchildren, Laura, Grant, and Dane; and sisters, Erna Roever (Jim) and Shirley Nass Murphy (Michael).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerhart and Dorothy Nass; sister, Joyce Nass (Bill) and grandson, Jonathan Patzlaff.
Sylvia described herself as a "doer" and she certainly lived up to that description through her many career choices. She was an elementary school teacher, Assistant Director of Brown County Youth Council, Executive Director of the YWCA (Green Bay), Woman of the Year recipient, and business consultant. Her excellent speaking skills were her gift and that is how she gave back to others. After retiring, she continued to provide inspiration and love as a guest speaker in various settings.
She and David split their time between their lake house in Crandon and their winter home in Alamo, Texas. Her faith was nourished by her church involvement in each of those communities. She made lasting friends through her bible study groups and her participation in church services as a guest speaker in St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Crandon and St. John's Lutheran Church in San Juan, Texas.
Family was an important part of Sylvia's life. She cherished time with her sons and their families. She also looked forward to spending time with her 3 sisters each summer.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eastview Rehabilitation Center for their support during Sylvia's last days.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Crandon, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the start of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Debra Spira officiating.
