Sylvia L. Ruff

Sylvia L. Ruff, 74, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
Born on May 14, 1949, in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Armando and Antoinette (Fantasia) Perry.
Sylvia worked at DeSales University until her retirement. She loved dancing, supporting local bands and listening to music-especially country and rock and roll. Her family meant more to her than words can describe, they were her world, and she dedicated her life to them. Above all, Sylvia will be remembered by all of those close to her for her wonderful sense of humor, her ability to have fun, and make friends no matter where she was.
She will be dearly missed by her three daughters, Julie Brita and her husband, Charlie, Cynthia Heyer and her companion, Scott Banks and Jennifer Marie Ruff; brother, Dennis Perry and his wife, Vickie; three sisters, Rose Mott and her husband, James, Annette Parenti, and Denise Smith; seven grandchildren, Nicolas Heyer, Ryan Tapper, Russel Altif, Danielle Brita, Lauren Brita, Vincent Lavoie, and Madison Lavoie; three great-grandchildren, Story, Brayden, and Claire.
In addition to her parents, Syliva is preceded in death by her husband, David H. Ruff, who passed in September 2021 and her granddaughter, Erika Lavoie.
A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 4-5:30 p.m. A celebration of life will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
