Mrs. Sams was born June 27, 1946 in Molena GA to the late Velma Kerr McCard. She retired from Thomaston Mills Peerless Div. and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Sams; sister, Erma Lavone Mangham; and brother, Tony McCard.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Todd) Chapman; son, Dwayne Sams; granddaughter, Jenny Chapman; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchilrdren.
A celebration of life service will be held by her family at a later date.
