Sylvia Sanchez Obituary
Sylvia Sanchez, 61, of Uvalde passed away on July 26, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 2 p.m. and a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on April 17, 1963, in Parks Ridge, Illinois to Minerva (De Leon) and Juan Sanchez, Jr.
She is survived by two brothers, David Sanchez and Noel Sanchez and wife, Crystal all of Uvalde; and nieces and nephews, Lydia Marie Sanchez, Chelsy Nicole Sanchez, Joshua Noel Sanchez, David Fuentes and Diego Fuentes all of Uvalde.
She is preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Severiana (Aviles) and Porfirio De Leon; and paternal grandparents, Adelfina (Guerra) and Juan Sanchez, Sr.; three uncles; Reymundo Sanchez Alberto Sanchez, and Pedro De Leon; three aunts, Anita Sanchez, Estella Mares, and Estella De Leon
Pallbearers will be Rafael Cardona, Rafael Cardona Jr., Larry Placencia Jr, Ernest Morales, Eugene Hernandez, Leon De Leon, Jimmy Ortega
