T. Steenburg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd. - Royersford on Mar. 28, 2023.
T. Matthew Steenburg went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2023. He is survived by his wife Amanda of 19 years and their two children Lukas (9) and Hannah (6), his mother Yvonne Hatcher, brother Ryan Steenburg (Kristen) and their nine children, his sister Angela Neathery, and her two children. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father G. Terry Steenburg.
Matt received his BA from Eastern University and his MA from Liberty University with a degree in Licensed Professional Counseling. He was also a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Cognitive Behavior Therapist, and a member of the AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors).
Matt had achieved his dream of owning his own company called Grace Counseling. His mission was to help people through all walks of life and felt everyone deserved Grace. Matt was a member of Christ Church of the Valley, where he was able to offer his services as a counselor to the church community and also volunteered in many capacities through his years at church.
Matt was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and listening to music. Matt enjoyed sports, especially football, baseball and lacrosse. He loved taking the kids fishing, camping and was always ready to play a video game, build a Lego structure or watch a movie.
Matthew was a kind, loving and devoted husband and father. He was funny, smart, a great listener, and a good friend to many. He will be missed immensely.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Christ Church of the Valley, 1560 Yeager Road, Royersford, PA 19460.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Stroke Association (https://www.stroke.org/en) in Matthew's name.
