Ta'Shya Michelle Jay

Ta'Shya Michelle Jay, 11, was the daughter of Shandreka Michelle Jay and Terrance Brunson. She was born September 19, 2009 at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. On Wednesday evening, June 9, 2021, God added another angel to His heavenly choir.
Ta'Shya was a rising 5th grader at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School. She had a very big heart and never met a stranger. She was a TikTok queen, constantly making videos. She was very photogenic and never shy in front of the camera. She and her baby sister, A'Kia had a very special bond that can never be broken.
Ta'Shya was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather, Jesse Lee Jay; paternal great-grandfather, Thomas Tolen; two uncles, Jawara Brunson and Dennis Morris.
Ta'Shya leaves behind to cherish her memories and celebrate her life: her mother – Shandreka M. Jay of the home; her father – Terrance Brunson of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; a sister – A'Kia Jay of the home; a brother – Malachi Brunson of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; maternal grandparents – Angela & Walter Morris of Ridge Spring, South Carolina; paternal grandparents – Diane Brunson & Ronnie Abney of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; maternal great-grandmother – Linda Jay of Gilbert, South Carolina; paternal great-grandmother – Gertrude Brunson of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; three aunts – Chasity Jay of West Columbia, South Carolina, Qui-Nesha Corley and Ashley (O'Neil) Rowe, both of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; four uncles – Lydell Morris of Aiken, South Carolina, Shaun Corley, Xavier Brunson and Marquis Brunson, all of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; a host of great-aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends who loved her very much.
