Tamara Gomberg

Tamara "Tina" Gomberg, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Born on August 7, 1940, in Coledale, Pennsylvania, Tina was known for her kindness and warmth. She touched the hearts of those around her with her gentle demeanor and loving nature.
Tina grew up in Coledale and Allentown, Pennsylvania and later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to raise her family. In 1988 Tina moved to Florida where she worked for the JCC of Boca Raton on the center's various programs and activities. In 2008, after retiring, Tina moved to Scottsdale, Arizona.
Tina's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her daughter, Melissa Horowitz and her husband Steven, her son Eric Gomberg and his wife Heather, and her grandchildren, Jake Horowitz, Evan Horowitz, Kasmariah Miller, Joey McCabe, Seth McCabe and Keegan McCabe. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Bernice Newman and Barbara Amelkin as well as many nieces and nephews.
Tina was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2002. She fought the disease with strength and grace.
Tina's life was a testament to the virtues of kindness, thoughtfulness, and love-qualities that she embodied fully and spread generously. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew her.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 30th at 10am at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, 24210 N. 68th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85054. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tina's memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or The Assistance Fund.
