Tamara Sue Guss-Allen, 66, of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 9, 2025. Her pain is gone, and while our sorrow is tremendous, we take comfort in knowing she now walks with the Lord.

Born on April 7, 1959, in Zanesville, Ohio, Tami was the beloved daughter of the late Forest D. and Janice L. (Russell) Guss. She earned her associate's degree in occupational therapy and a bachelor’s degree in business, but her true calling lay in her art. Tami was an avid artist, working across all mediums, currently working watercolor. She maintained a studio within the vibrant art community in Zanesville, where she displayed her latest works and shared her creative vision with all who were fortunate enough to see them.

Tami’s talent was matched only by her heart. She had a way of making life more beautiful, more meaningful, and more full of light. Whether through her art, her work, or the love and care she extended to everyone she met, Tami made the world a better place. She was always ready with a warm hug, an encouraging word, or a listening ear.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both its joys and its challenges. Above all, Tami’s greatest joy was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, who fondly called her MiMi. As her grandchildren have said, “She was the greatest MiMi ever!” Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Tami was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first great-grandson, Forest Allen, a new life that would bring even more joy to her already vibrant family.

Tami leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, laughter, and unwavering love. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Allen; son, Nathan (Jessica) Allen; eight grandchildren, Tristan Allen, Cameron Allen, Kiersten Allen, Broc Main, Kennadi Mills, Xander Allen, Madison Hardeman, and Kendalynn Louise (KennyLou) Allen; her sister, Kimberly (Kim) Guss-Hearing; her step-mother, Cecilia Guss; two nephews, Nicholas Hearing and Joshua (Megan) Hearing; two great-nephews, Greyson and Jackson Hearing; great-niece, Eleanor Hearing; her beloved fur baby, Petunia Rose; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Friends and family may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025 with Pastor Micah Pelkey officiating. Tami will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
