Tamara Lynn "Tammy" Lew, nee Arbetman, 80, of Northbrook, beloved wife of Michael for over 58 years; loving mother of Daniel Jeffrey and the late Scott David (Annabelle); cherished grandmother of Rocky Michael and Roman Maccabee; devoted daughter of the late Sidney and Mildred; treasured sister of the late Gerald; dear sister-in-law of Sonia Lew Guon and Marlene Paset Arbetman; caring aunt and great aunt of many, friend to all. Tammy was born in Chicago and raised in Lincolnwood. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Education.Tammy taught English and Drama at Wheeling Township High School before leaving to raise her family. She and her husband, Michael, moved to Northbrook where they raised their two sons, Scott and Dan. After the boys were grown, Tammy designed and created her signature "Tammy Designs," jewelry which was sold in high end boutique and department stores, and at selective art fairs, across the country for almost 20 years. In addition to always being a creative person and entrepreneur, she also volunteered her time, energy and talents to Hadassah and ORT for many years. Despite her more recent health issues over the past six years, Tammy was always cheerful with a positive attitude. Tammy was devoted to Michael and her family's well-being and happiness and loved them above all else. Chapel service 12:15PM Friday, June 27th, at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wise School, 15500, Stephen S. Wise Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90077.
