Tammy Lee Darnell Amore

Tammy Lee Darnell Amore, 50, of Valdosta died Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Peoria, Illinois on August 21, 1960 to the late Robert Earl and Sandra Jo Steenbergen Darnell and had lived in Valdosta for the past three years. Mrs. Amore attended the Abundant Life Church of God and been employed with Convergys. She loved taking care of her family, shopping for her grandchildren and playing bingo. Survivors include her husband, Wes Amore of Valdosta, her children and their spouses, Shannon and Elijah Douglas of Danville, Ill., Eric Grigsby of Jacksonville, Fla., Vanessa and Jonathan Jones of Valdosta, Timothy Dale and Melissa Amore of Plattville, WI., Tamera Kay and Rick Stiner of Dodgeville, WI., 11-grandchildren, 1-great grandchild, three sisters, Tracy and Kenneth Overshiner, Martha and Steve Thompson, Toni Barnes and her partner, Paulette, one brother, Matt Darnell all of Danville, Ill., her aunts and uncles, Michael and Kerry Steenbergen of Indianapolis, IN., Marna and Jimmy Guiliani of Westville, Ill., special friends, cousins, niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sandra Darnell, three brothers, Randy Barnes, Bill Darnell and Bobby Darnell. Memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Robison Chapel, 103 Douglass St., Catlin, Illinois 61817.
