Austintown – Tammy Sue Gavillet, 62, of Austintown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Tammy was born on August 25, 1962, in Carthage, Illinois, the daughter of William "Bill" Gavillet and Mary (Scott) Coppedge. She moved to the Youngstown area in 1982, where she made her home and raised her family.

Tammy proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps, earning the Good Conduct Medal and received and Honorable Discharge on September 27, 1982. Her sense of duty and commitment extended beyond her military service - she was also a dedicated homemaker and worked for over 18 years in the warehouse at Things Remembered in Lordstown.

Tammy found joy in the simple things. She loved music. She always had some form of music on. She loved being outdoors, especially spending time on her back porch watching the beauty of nature. A woman of faith, she was a member of Disciples of Christ.

Tammy leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her children, Maria Girardi and Nick Girardi; her beloved grandson, David Cutlip; her mother Mary Beth Coppedge, two sisters, Kathy (Dan) McClintock and Mickie (Howard) Gillispie; a brother, Russ (April) Gavillet; and a sister-in-law, Shana Coppedge and a step mother Mary Jo Gavillet. She will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Gavillet; her stepfather, Michael "Mike" Coppedge; and her brother, Jason Coppedge.

In accordance with Tammy's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services at this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi and Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman.
