Tammy Hamers

Tammy Hamers, 65, of Palermo, ND passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Sandford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND, with her family by her side.
Tammy was born March 17th, 1959 in Stanley ND. She was the fourth of five children born to Florence and Chester Johnson residing in Palermo. She attended and graduated school in Palermo ND where she met the love of her life Brian Hamers.
On August 5, 1978 Tammy and Brian were united in marriage. They made their home in Palermo ND where they raised their two sons Michael Brian Hamers and Blaine Chester Hamers. Tammy enjoyed fishing, hunting, card games, visiting with friends, and spending time with her grandkids which included baking and cooking with them. Tammy also looked forward to Sundays in the fall so she could watch "Da" Bears football team play.
Tammy worked various jobs throughout her life including the Stanley nursing home, the grocery store, and finished her working career after 15+ years at Cenex.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was loved by all who knew her.
Tammy is survived by her father, Chester Johnson; sons, Michael Hamers and Blaine (KayeLee) Hamers; brothers, Allen (Jill) Johnson, Kevin (Dar) Johnson; sisters, Joann Ostdahl, Diann (Walter) Dunham; grandchildren, Lance Allen, Brock Hamers, Holdenn Hamers, Benjamin Hamers, Remingtynn Hamers; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Hamers; mother, Florence Johnson; mother and father in-law, Chet and Ellen Hamers; brothers-in-law, Lu Seidel; and Arlan Ostdahl.
