Tammy Renee Holloway, gained her heavenly wings on November 3, 2025, surrounded by love.
She was born on August 11, 1962, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Betty Jean Cole and Sammy Holloway, and was the beloved daughter of James Cole.
Tammy received her education through Petersburg Public Schools and went on to dedicate her life to helping others as a Nurse Aide. Her compassion, laughter, and genuine care for those around her touched countless lives both inside and outside of her profession.
Tammy loved to dance, play bingo, and enjoy a good laugh while "playing her numbers." She was known for her infectious energy and for lighting up any room she entered. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family-especially loving on her grandchildren, with a special bond shared with her grandson Ky.
Tammy was preceded in death by her husband Tyrone Clark; her parents Sammy Holloway and Betty Jean Cole; her siblings Walkina Griffin and Dwight Hudgens; her aunts Joann Wallace and Sandra Anderson; her uncle Jerome Ware; cousin Authur Ware; and a devoted nephew Clarence Holloway.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Jacoby and Joe Ann; her father James Cole; her devoted sisters Candy (James), Jackie (James), Vanessa, and Shavon (Carlen); her brothers Ronnie (Tammy), Kelly (Niaretta), and James. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren Janasjia, T'ione T'ari, Ja'Niyah, Christian, Khmorra, Ky'mier, and Khloe and one great-grandson Tyjai.
Tammy's love will also be remembered by a host of nieces and nephews: Crystal, April (Detrick), Sharar (Carlos), Deliska, Kelitia, Charissa, Palmesa, Talga, Joseph, Ronnie, Ronnille, Therain, Taft, Tawon, Adonis, Kelly Jr., and Kaylan. Aunt Annalee Thompson of Greenville,S.C., her Cole family members, along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Tammy will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unshakable faith, and the joy she brought to every life she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1021 Halifax St., Petersburg. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. Public visitation will be held from 10am-8pm, Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Petersburg Chapel of Bland Funeral Home, 137 Harrison Street, Petersburg, VA.
