Tammy (Jackson) Hester was born August 20th, 1960 in Fort Eustis, Virginia to the late Carl Thomas Jackson Sr. and Doris Vevelyn (Moore) Acord and passed away September 13th, 2025 in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 65 years old.
Tammy was united in marriage to James Kertz Sr. in 1995 in Festus, Missouri. Tammy has her GED and worked as a home health aide retiring in 2012. She lived in this area most of her life and also in Branson, Missouri. She attended Harvest Assembly Church in Essex, Missouri. Tammy loved gardening, crocheting, painting, and singing gospel songs along with dream catchers. She had three dogs, two birds and loved her pets. She loved to go sing karaoke every week and never missed a day. She will be missed greatly.
Surviving family include: five sons, Timothy Ray Turner of St. Louis, Missouri, James Anthony Kertz Jr. of Reed Springs, Missouri, Jeffery Wayne Kertz of Festus, Missouri, Bradley Allen Kertz, of Dexter, Missouri, Joseph Michael and Alexis Kertz of Bloomfield, Missouri, and one daughter, Tonja and David Whittier of Pueblo, Colorado, twelve grandchildren; Alexa Kertz of Branson, Missouri, Natasha, Austin, Ethan, Trinity, Hailey, Kailey, Jordan, James Anthony Kertz 3rd, Jenna, Joseph Kertz Jr., Jacob and Bob Hartline, a very close friend who was her person.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, her dad, David Acord, her two brothers, Carl Thomas Jackson Jr., David James Acord Jr., first husband, Jeffery Stevens Turner and grandchildren, Paxton, Jaxson and Evelyn Kertz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
