Tammy Majernik Obituary

Tammy Atkins Majernik, 53, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. After a 10-year courageous battle with cancer, an Angel has returned to heaven. Tammy was a lifelong Peninsula resident and was a 1989 graduate of Menchville High School. She worked in the Engineering Design Department at NNSY. She was always referred to as "his little angel" by her Dad. Tammy blessed all of those around her, making others feel special; even when sick, she took care of others before taking care of herself.

Tammy was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Lupo; her second husband, Mark Majernik and her father, Bobby Atkins. She is survived by her 3 adoring children, Matt Lupo and Mitchell and Maggie Majernik; her devoted mother, Helen Atkins; her brother, Chuck Atkins and his wife, Robin; her mother and father-in-law, Elaine and Ray Keenan and grandchildren, Ariela Majernik and Damon Thomas.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Peninsula Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peninsula SPCA or Paws, Poquoson Animal Welfare Sanctuary. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
