TAMMY LYNN MAPLES, AGE 52
And a resident of Mount Hermon passed away early Friday morning August 2, 2024 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born March 25, 1972 and was a graduate of Mt. Hermon High School Class of 1990. She loved working and being in the outdoors. Tammy enjoyed mowing and tractor work, taking care of beef cattle, feeding and hunting deer and fishing. She liked to ride her 4-wheeler and take walks with her dogs. They would often sit under the Mayhaw tree, where Tammy could gather the berries that she then made into delicious jelly. She also made syrup and loved to cook large meals for her family and friends. Tammy was talented as a mechanic, plumber and gardener, but her pets, family and friends were always her greatest joys.
